“And when you think about it, poets always want us to be moved by something, until in the end, you begin to suspect that a poet is someone who is moved by everything, who just stands in front of the world and weeps and laughs and laughs and weeps . . . ”

Me, too, Mish. And, here I thought it was just me, and that all my laughing and weeping, weeping and laughing, like a bottle bobbing in waves, was because I’m neurotic. When, in fact, I must simply be a poet.
Thank you, Christy. This make me feel better. xox

A line from a favorite Ben Taylor song:
“You may be a lot of things, but you’re not alone.”
I often feel like an emotional love wire. I think it’s because I spent so much time avoiding my feelings or numbing out. I can feel it all now…and it’s a blessing and a curse. But mostly a blessing.
