She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
‘Winter is dead.’
~Alan Alexander Milne

The first book of poetry I received when I was really little was Milne’s “When We Were Very Young”, I’m pretty sure it was that book that started my love of poetry 🙂

My favorite one of his when I was little was Halfway Down, you know the one Kermit’s nephew always sang? (It’s still probably my favorite of his poems)
